Back of the net.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions now has a release date on PlayStation 4. The totally over the top footballing title is set to launch on the 28th August, and it looks entertaining in its latest trailer, which we’ve embedded above.

For those out of the loop, the game’s based on Captain Tsubasa, a manga and anime property from the 80s. It’s stuffed with crazy soccer skills and character rivalries. It’s not without its limitations however as there is a pretty noticeable gap between it and the other consoles on the market. But it seems someone thinks it may not be as huge an obstacle as one may think. Developer Virtuous thinks it’s far more capable than many believe.
